Mixed - Version IP Router ( MIR )
نویسنده
چکیده
This application note describes a reference design for a mixed-version IP router (MIR) servicing up to four gigabit Ethernet ports. MIRs are useful where several gigabit Ethernet networks are operating with a mixture of IPv4 and IPv6 hosts and routers attached directly to the networks, and further nodes reached via the routers. A particular benefit of an approach based on the Virtex-II ProTM family is that the router’s functions can evolve smoothly, maintaining router performance as the organization migrates from IPv4 to IPv6 internally, and also as the Internet migrates externally.

Authenticated Ad Hoc Routing at the Link Layer for Mobile Systems
We have built an experimental link-level authenticated ad hoc routing protocol and integrated it with the PSU version of Mobile-IP. The routing protocol is intended to address survivability and link security issues. In our modiied version of Mobile-IP, we authenticate ICMP router discovery packets, which are sent by both Mobile-IP agents and mobile nodes. The router discovery packets allow syst...

In this paper, we introduce networking solution by using VLSI architecture techniques to router design for networking system to provide control over the network. We attempts to overcome latency and time reduction issue and can provide multipurpose networking router by means of verilog and it was synthesized in Xilinx 13.2 version, simulated Modelsim 10.0 version. The approach enables the router...
متن کاملA High Performance Parallel IP Lookup Technique Using Distributed Memory Organization and ISCB-Tree Data Structure
The IP Lookup Process is a key bottleneck in routing due to the increase in routing table size, increasing traıc and migration to IPv6 addresses. The IP address lookup involves computation of the Longest Prefix Matching (LPM), which existing solutions such as BSD Radix Tries, scale poorly when traıc in the router increases or when employed for IPv6 address lookups. In this paper, we describe a ...

متن کاملRFC 4607 Source - Specific Multicast August
IP version 4 (IPv4) addresses in the 232/8 (232.0.0.0 to 232.255.255.255) range are designated as source-specific multicast (SSM) destination addresses and are reserved for use by sourcespecific applications and protocols. For IP version 6 (IPv6), the address prefix FF3x::/32 is reserved for source-specific multicast use. This document defines an extension to the Internet network service that a...
